SEE CAO performs in its own name but on behalf and for the account of the Participating TSOs explicit allocation of long-term and daily physical transmission rights on the bidding zone borders between Participating TSOs in accordance with SEE CAO Set of Rules and following the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 of 26 September 2016 establishing a Guideline on Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA) and Regulation (EC) 714/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on conditions for access to the network for cross-border exchanges in electricity.
Allocation is performed in explicit NTC-based auctions using the DAMAS Auction Tool on both long-term and short term timeframes – yearly, monthly and daily on the following bidding zone borders:
- Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro
- Montenegro – Albania
- Albania – Greece
- Greece – Türkiye
- Greece – North Macedonia
- Italy – Montenegro
- Albania – Kosovo
- Montenegro – Kosovo
- North Macedonia – Kosovo
Moreover, SEE CAO is also reporting the outcome of the auctions and secondary market in line with Regulation (EU) No 543/2013 on submission and publication of data in electricity markets (EMFIP) and Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT).
